Hybrid Fitness Challenge

Hybrid Fitness Challenge is a mixture of cardio and functional strength activities.

The challenge consists of eight quarter mile runs, each followed by a functional workout station (such as sled pushes, rowing, lunges, wall balls, or burpee broad jumps).

You perform the challenge at your own pace, but it must be completed in one single day, not over multiple days.

Once you complete the challenge, if you want to go into a drawing at the end of the year for a prize, please turn in your sheet with your name and the date completed on it and pay your registration fee at the membership desk.

This challenge can be done multiple times through the year, and you can keep registering and turning in your sheets for a bigger chance to win.

Everyone is invited to learn the Japanese self-defense sport of Judo. Beginner, intermediate and advanced are welcome to come learn basic holds, throws, break falls, safe falls, injury prevention and balance. There are tournament opportunities as students progress. Instructor: Chris Kennedy

You can complete a FULL MURPH or a HALF MURPH.
Modifications are accepted:
– TRX straps may be used for pull ups, push ups, and squats.
– Assisted band pull ups.
–  Knee or elevated/wall push ups.

Youth Speed & Strength

Youth Speed and Strength is a program intended to teach kids ages 8-12 years old how to develop skills in speed, agility and strength training by learning the basics of strength training movements of proper form and learning which weights are appropriate for each youth, along with increasing speed and agility through course work and drills safely and supported by a certified personal trainer.

Classes are set to take place outside (weather permitting) If it is raining, classes will be inside the YMCA in either a racquetball court or the basketball gym.

Students will be supervised and taught the importance of safety through the program.
